First, check your control layout
S-GAME’s launch letter describes three PS5 layouts and PC remapping. Read your active layout before following any button prompt in a video. The advice below refers to actions rather than one fixed button scheme.
Learn one defensive response at a time
GamerSky’s opening walkthrough tells players to perfect-block blue attacks and perfect-dodge red attacks. Treat the tutorial as practice before adding long attack strings.
- Our suggested drill: watch a cue, attempt its defensive response, and identify whether you reacted late or chose the wrong action. Repeat before trying a longer combo.
Why holding block can fail
PlayStation Blog explains that blocking drains Sha-Chi; an empty gauge leaves you vulnerable to a stagger. Switching between your two equipped main weapons replenishes it.
- Our suggested drill: compare your gauge before and after blocking, then practise a deliberate weapon swap. Learn where the swap fits comfortably into your own attack rhythm.
- When a fight goes wrong, distinguish lost health from lost Sha-Chi. Record which action preceded the failure instead of changing several habits at once.
A blocked route may be a return visit
PlayStation Blog describes Phantom Edges opening barriers and grapple routes. GamerSky’s opening area also flags a crossing that requires equipment acquired later. Repeated jumping is not necessarily the answer.
- Our suggestion: note the nearest checkpoint, the obstacle and the tool icon. Continue elsewhere, then review those notes after gaining a new exploration tool.
- Keep a separate list for optional paths. Checking off a route is not proof that every collectible in the region has been found.
